As a project, Smart-Up has been developed in five European countries and funded through the H2020 programme. Through the use of smart meters and energy monitors, it aims to encourage energy saving in households in circumstances of energy poverty. It also trains installers, social workers and other parties who come into contact with vulnerable users.
Ecoserveis coordinates the Smart-Up project within Spain. We manage a pilot test in which 1,800 homes participate, 60 of which have a smart monitor installed. The data collected through these devices allows the impact that monitoring has on changing user’s habits to be analysed. Specifically, the monitors allow the energy use of every household appliance, real-time consumption, and overall energy use per day and hour to be checked.
- EDUCATE VULNERABLE PEOPLE ABOUT ENERGY SAVING TOOLS AND REDUCING BILLS.
- CHANGE ENERGY USERS’ HABITS TO LOWER THEIR ELECTRIC BILLS BY AT LEAST 10%.
- PASS ON THE TRAINING TO INSTALLERS, WORKERS AND SOCIAL AGENTS SO THEY CAN INFORM VULNERABLE USERS.
